As spring continues to bloom, the month of May brings an abundance of fun sensory-friendly activities for families. So, mark your calendars and get ready for a month filled with adventure!

 

Studio Movie Grill Special Needs Screenings
May 20th, 12 p.m.
Dallas locations and Houston locations

Studio Movie Grill’s sensory-friendly Special Needs Screenings present movies with the lights up and the volume low, and moving around, talking, and even dancing in the aisles is welcome, too. Tickets are free for children with special needs and their siblings, and adult tickets are available at a before-noon price at the Box Office only. 

May’s screening is The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3!

Sailing Angels
Houston

Sailing Angels is a non-profit organization based in the Greater Houston area that enables children with developmental and physical delays to experience the joys of sailing. Children learn knot-tying, navigation, and piloting throughout the excursion. The adventure concludes with the child steering the boat while wearing the Captain’s hat and then earning a large medallion. The service is free and has a 100% safety record!

May 18th is International Museum Day!
The DoSeum

The DoSeum Beyond Limits is a revitalized program created to meet the needs of all of San Antonio’s children, no matter how big or how small those needs may be. With the support of community partners, they provide a supportive space, specialized staff, and inclusive opportunities to engage and support your learner. Carter’s Museum Sensory Exploration
