Apara Career Steps
Behavior Technician (BT)
Starting as a Behavior Technician means stepping into an exciting, meaningful career. You’ll complete 40 hours of paid training and begin to provide direct therapy with close support and training from your team.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
You’ve put in the work and passed the exam and now it’s time to make a difference! As an RBT, you bring compassion, consistency, and clinical skills everywhere you go. It’s not just about providing therapy; you also model professionalism and what clinical excellence is to new BTs.
Lead RBT
As a Lead RBT, your experience and dedication shine. You continue delivering strong clinical services while mentoring new team members as a buddy and role model. You also support BCBAs with session materials and help maintain a culture of quality and teamwork. You play a part in setting the standard!
Intern-Trainer
As an intern, you’re enrolled in a graduate program and actively accruing supervision hours towards your BCBA certification. You serve as a role model to staff while leading on-site training for new hires and bring a growing leadership voice to the team.
Sr. Intern-Trainer
You’re almost there! As a Sr. Intern you’re almost done with your fieldwork hours and obtaining your BCBA certification. You continue to lead on-site training, serve as a role model and take on more hands-on learning experiences with supervision, parent training, and treatment planning under the guidance of a BCBA.
BCBA
You made it! As a BCBA you lead the clinical direction of your clients’ programming and help to ensure they are making meaningful progress. As a clinical leader, you supervise RBTs, collaborate with families, analyze data, and lead with compassion and care to shape strong teams and drive meaningful outcomes.

You’ve shown everyone what clinical excellence looks like in practice. As a Sr. BCBA you continue to manage a caseload while taking the next steps into a leadership role. As an experienced BCBA, you mentor newer BCBAs and model best practices while preparing for future clinical leadership.
Clinical Director
You’ve taken the next step in your career! As a Clinical Director you lead with vision, integrity and a drive for clinical excellence. As the clinical leader, you mentor your team of BCBAs, inspire high quality treatment development, and ensure that all families receive exceptional care. In this role, you’re leading the thoughtful growth of your clinic while building a strong team and fostering a culture where both clients and staff achieve meaningful outcomes.
Area Clinical Director
As an Area Clinical Director, you bring seasoned leadership and a deep commitment to clinical quality. While continuing to support your own clinic, you also mentor and develop a new Clinical Director, whether they’re new to the role or the company. You collaborate closely with your Regional Clinical Director (RCD) to support clinic performance, model strong leadership, and ensure excellence across the board.
Regional Clinical Director
You’ve shown that you have what it takes to lead with compassion and care while driving performance. As an RCD, you lead with a wide lens and support multi-site clinical operations while driving meaningful and thoughtful growth across your region. You mentor and develop CDs and ACD to ensure clinical excellence and alignment with company values. In close collaboration with the leadership team, you are a key member in shaping the future of each clinic while fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and accountability.
