Hi everyone! My name is Margarett Alliegro Ramirez, and I am so excited to join the Apara Katy team in my new role of Clinical Director.
I am originally from Venezuela and thanks to my amazing mother who is a speech therapist and behavior analyst, I fell in love with ABA and working with kids! My mom provided me with hands-on experience working with children with special needs back in Venezuela, where she founded her own school for children with special needs and her own ABA clinic! She has been my main inspiration and has helped build this passion I feel for my work and my clients!
Since then, I have been working in the ABA field for over 10 years in South America and the United States in both English and Spanish. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in ABA at Florida International University and my master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorder at Ball State University.
I worked as a behavior therapist and an RBT for several years before earning my BCaBA certification and then my BCBA. The years of experience in all the different settings and people have helped me broaden my perspective and love for what we do, from working closely with the families and actively engaging with our clients while working towards the ultimate goal, improving quality of life!
I enjoy spending my free time with my husband Carlos, my 3-year-old son Marcelo, and our 2 dogs! We love nature and love to go for hikes, visit new places, and spend time with our family, gathering together with lots of food, music, and fun!
Come visit us at the Katy center! I look forward to meeting you and your family!
