Parks

River Grove Park
1075 Woodland Hills Dr, Kingwood, TX 77339

If you like quiet places and connecting with nature, this is the ideal place. There is a boat ramp for those who want to venture out on to San Jacinto River and Lake Houston. There is also a Disc Golf Course, soccer fields, picnic areas and a playground for the kids. 

East End Park
6500 Kingwood Dr, Kingwood, TX 77345

If you and your kids love nature and wildlife, East End Park is perfect for a day out. East End Park is a 158.5-acre park containing woodlands, meadows, wetlands, and riverine areas. It has 3.5 miles of developed trails and 2 miles of natural trails. In addition to deer and alligators, the park is a favorite of local birders who have identified 141 species of birds in the park, including several that are threatened or endangered.

Visitors should note that only Kingwood residents with a bumper sticker denoting such are allowed to park at the parks. Anyone without a sticker is likely to get towed. If driving, guests should park outside of the parks or opt to take a ride-sharing service.

Amedeo’s Italian Restaurant

Skeeter’s Mesquite Grill is owned and operated by Houston-based Adair Family Restaurants. Gary Adair, and his wife Betsy, opened their first Skeeter’s Mesquite Grill in West University in 1988. Skeeter’s is known for pleasing kids and parents alike with its laid-back atmosphere and smoky South Texas fare. The wood-burning mesquite grill achieves Skeeter’s hallmark flavors on succulent burgers, chicken and beef fajitas, and tacos.
