River Grove Park

If you like quiet places and connecting with nature, this is the ideal place. There is a boat ramp for those who want to venture out on to San Jacinto River and Lake Houston. There is also a Disc Golf Course, soccer fields, picnic areas and a playground for the kids. 

East End Park
6500 Kingwood Dr, Kingwood, TX 77345

If you and your kids love nature and wildlife, East End Park is perfect for a day out. East End Park is a 158.5-acre park containing woodlands, meadows, wetlands, and riverine areas. It has 3.5 miles of developed trails and 2 miles of natural trails. In addition to deer and alligators, the park is a favorite of local birders who have identified 141 species of birds in the park, including several that are threatened or endangered.

Visitors should note that only Kingwood residents with a bumper sticker denoting such are allowed to park at the parks. Anyone without a sticker is likely to get towed. If driving, guests should park outside of the parks or opt to take a ride-sharing service.


Amedeo’s Italian Restaurant

Skeeter’s Mesquite Grill is owned and operated by Houston-based Adair Family Restaurants. Gary Adair, and his wife Betsy, opened their first Skeeter’s Mesquite Grill in West University in 1988. The wood-burning mesquite grill achieves Skeeter’s hallmark flavors on succulent burgers, chicken and beef fajitas, and tacos.
