Brackenridge Park
3700 N St Mary’s St, San Antonio, TX 78212

Brackenridge Park is a 343-acre public park that is home to a stretch of the San Antonio River, the Japanese Tea Garden, the Sunken Garden Theater, the San Antonio Zoo, Lambert Beach, and Tony “Skipper” Martinez ball fields. Lions Field Adult and Senior Center are also located on the perimeter of the park and San Antonio Botanical Garden is nearby at 555 Funston Place.

Orsinger Park
12230 Huebner Rd, San Antonio, TX 78230

Orsinger Park is a bustling urban park with trails, a playground & a picnic pavilion with a rental kitchen facility. Orsinger also provides a large sandbox. The park has plenty of oak trees along the walking trails and some native cactuses. The shade from those trees on a warm day makes Orsinger a good choice.

 

Hemisfair
434 S Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205

This delightful park is a local favorite, particularly the water gardens and the kid-designed wood and sand playground, which includes a castle and space tunnel. The highlight is the looming 750-foot-tall Tower of the Americas, offering a terrific view of the city.

Tom Slick Park

Tom Slick park allows San Antonio to enjoy the outdoors, with fresh air, sunshine, and exercise on tap for visitors. Take a walk, enjoy the scenery, and de-stress. With a dog park, playground, and walking trails, it’s a beautiful spot for everyone in the family.

Pearsall Park

Pearsall Park is 505 acres and is designed to offer a dynamic, open space with fitness and recreational amenities ideal for facilitating health/wellness/sports activities and outdoor family/social gatherings. It has two splash pads, two basketball courts, twenty picnic tables, art installations, and walking paths.

Mission County Park
6030 Padre Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214

Mission County Park offers trails along the river, a playground, performance pavilions & sports fields. If your kid loves history, this park is the perfect place to explore the missions and learn about the area’s history. There are often events at this park, so be sure to check for upcoming events before visiting.
