Center-Based Therapy Service Offerings
Social Skills Groups
Making friends and learning how to get along with others is a big part of growing up. Our specialized social skills programs are designed to help your child master key abilities like communication, sharing, and cooperation. We create a fun, supportive space where they can practice these skills with other kids and build the confidence they need to connect with people everywhere.
Telehealth Services
We believe therapy should be accessible to everyone. Our telehealth services bring the benefits of ABA therapy right to your home. Using a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, your child can connect with our team for virtual sessions. This option is perfect for families with a loved one who is immunocompromised or those who live in remote areas where finding a nearby center is a challenge.
Feeding Therapy
Mealtimes can be tough for both children and parents. Our feeding program is here to help. We use gentle, evidence-based methods to address a variety of eating challenges, from picky eating and texture sensitivity to mealtime behaviors. We work closely with you and require medical clearance to ensure every child’s safety and well-being. Our goal is to make mealtimes a positive and stress-free experience for your entire family.
Speech and Language Therapy
We know that combining therapies can lead to amazing results, so we work hand-in-hand with your child’s Speech or Occupational Therapist right in our clinic. If you don’t have a therapist, we can provide referrals and help you get started. Our team of BCBAs and your SLPs collaborate with you every step of the way to create a powerful, coordinated program that helps your child find their voice.
Caregiver Training
You are your child’s most important teacher! We consider caregiver training a core part of our program because we believe that the more you’re involved, the greater the progress your child will make. You’ll have one-on-one meetings with our BCBAs to learn about your child’s specific goals and how to support them. We’re a team, and we’re committed to working together to help your family succeed.
Community & Partner Training
Helping a child with autism thrive is a community effort. We’re passionate about training our community to better understand and support individuals with autism and their families. Our goal is to provide training for schools, first responders, medical professionals, and others. By helping the community understand autism and the principles of ABA, we can create a more inclusive world for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is ABA therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. At Apara, we practice it as a way to understand your child’s strengths and empower them with new skills. Our goal isn’t to change who your child is, but to provide them with functional tools for communication, social interaction, and daily living so they can navigate their world with more confidence.
-
What does a typical day look like for a child in center-based therapy?
A day at our center is structured yet nurturing, designed to feel both predictable and engaging. Your child’s schedule is a thoughtful balance of focused one-on-one sessions with their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and dynamic small group activities that encourage peer interaction. We integrate learning into natural, play-based activities to ensure your child feels happy, safe, and motivated.
-
How are therapy goals created for my child?
Your child’s goals are developed through a deeply collaborative process. It begins with a comprehensive assessment by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), but it doesn’t end there. We work in close partnership with you to identify and prioritize the skills that are most meaningful to your child and family. Your insights are essential to creating a treatment plan that is truly personalized and effective.
-
How involved will I be in my child’s therapy?
Caregiver involvement is a cornerstone of our approach. We consider you the most important member of your child’s team. You will have regular training sessions with your child’s BCBA to learn the same effective strategies we use in the center. This partnership equips you with the tools and confidence to support your child’s progress at home and in the community, creating consistency that fosters success.
-
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Apara Autism Centers is in-network with a wide range of insurance providers to make our services as accessible as possible.
