We have hit record heat already this summer, and it’s only June! Even though most kids don’t seem to mind the hot and humid air, we parents know how important it is for them to stay cool and hydrated in the Texas heat! The Splash Pads below will offer safer water play than a pool and help keep your kids (and you) cool this summer!

Directors Park

21437 Clay Road

The Directors Park splash pad is one of the most popular amenities the District has to offer! During the dog days of summer, children, and adults alike, enjoy cooling off in the various spray features that cycle when activated by pushing a button on the railroad crossing signal.

Besides the splash pad, Directors Park offers a large playground with a play structure and swings, picnic tables and park benches, and walking paths that total approximately ½ mile.

Green Trails Desert Ivy Park and Splash Pad

19607 Desert Ivy

The Green Trails neighborhood playground offers several covered pavilions, a splash pad, and a large play area! Just be sure to use the bathroom before heading out, as there are no restrooms available here.

Pine Mill Ranch Play Area and Splash Pad

Intersection of Pine Mill Ranch Dr and Pine Mill Landing Ln

This neighborhood play area has a great splash pad and playground for your little ones to enjoy! Again, this splash pad does not have any bathrooms, so you will want to plan accordingly.

Exploration Park

15020 Cinco Park Rd

Exploration Park is an immersive public playground just south of Creech Elementary. This park not only has a splash pad for the kids to play in, but it also has a 48-space parking lot and a family restroom building.
